Well That Was Fun

The Bengals had a first this past Sunday. They blew a 21 point lead! Yup, a 21 point lead. Our beloved Bengals had a three touchdown lead over the Indianapolis Colts and their number 1 ranked defense early Sunday, and, not so shockingly, let it slip away. In fact, after scoring three touchdowns in the first fifteen minutes and four seconds, they were only able to put up six more points the rest of the game.

Bengals fans aren’t used to seeing their team come out with such energy and aggression to start a game. It was shocking in a good way, but low and behold, they came crashing back down to earth in the second quarter and couldn’t get it going again the rest of the way. They suffered their fourth loss of the season and it was the third one by less than a touchdown. So at least there’s that. They are in every game, with the exception of the blowout of the Ravens game.

Let’s hope Mixon’s foot injury is minor enough that he doesn’t miss any time. And let’s also hope that the Bengals can avenge the loss from earlier this season against the Browns, who may or may not have a quarterback issue. It would be nice to get back in the win column. Let’s recap again next week!
